Product catalog summary
Product Description
va-Q-pur is a microporous insulation material made from 100% open-cell polyurethane foam, primarily used in containers, water boilers, and refrigerators. It is produced in various shapes using the va-Q-seam technique and can be combined with conventional polyurethane systems without degrading thermal and mechanical properties.

Features
- Significant reduction in insulation thickness compared to conventional foams
- High compressive strength and low weight
- 100% quality control using the patented va-Q-check gas pressure measurement system

Properties
- Initial thermal conductivity: 0.007 – 0.009 W/(m∙K) at 10°C
- Ventilated thermal conductivity: < 0.036 W/(m∙K) at 10°C
- U-Value: 0.28 W/(m²∙K) at 10°C with 30 mm thickness
- Internal gas pressure: < 1 mbar at 20°C
- VIP Density: 80 kg/m³
- Area density: 1.95 kg/m² with 20 mm thickness
- Temperature resistance: -70 to 60°C
- Moisture resistance: 0 to 70% relative humidity up to 50°C
- Thermal shock resistance: -75 to 80°C
- Specific heat capacity: 0.8 kJ/(kg∙K)
- Compressive strength: ≥ 250 kPa at 10% compression
- Lifetime: Up to 15 years depending on usage

Testing Standards
va-Q-pur panels undergo various tests including long-time performance tests up to 160°C, accelerated aging tests, and thermal conductivity measurements according to DIN EN 12667.

Measures and Tolerances
Dimensions and tolerances are specified for lengths, widths, and thicknesses, with specific tolerances for different size ranges.

va-Q-pur-1

Technical Data Sheet va-Q-pur Product Description va-Q-pur is a microporous insulation based on a 100 % open-cell polyurethane foam, which is exclusively provided to va-Q-tec. In general va-Q-pur is produced in rectangular shapes by our innovative va-Q-seam technique but various shapes are possible on request. Because of the low weight core material, va-Q-pur elements are mainly used for applications in containers but also in water boilers, refrigerators etc. va-Q-pur can be used in combination with conventional polyurethane systems, as the higher temperature in the lathering process does not lead to a degradation of the thermal and mechanical properties of the panels. Hereby the huge deformation resistance and quality of the surface are the crucial points. Huge reduction of the insulation thickness compared to conventional polyurethane foams Very high compressive strength Low weight material 100 % quality control with the patented gas pressure measurement system (va-Q-check)
