DPC & DPM Pulse Control Panels - 1

DPC/DPM Panels Save more with on-demand cleaning Dust collectors equipped with United Air Specialists’ Digital Pressure Control (DPC) panel are more likely to save on overall energy costs and filter replacements. That’s because operators are able to set differential pressure levels initiating the collector’s pulse cleaning system. When the pressure exceeds the high point, it pulses until it gets back to an acceptable level. This smart way of cleaning minimizes the number of pulses required. Maximize on-demand cleaning performance On-demand cleaning is especially effective for dust collectors that use Protura® Nanofiber filters. Due to a unique surface treatment on the filter, dust and fume particulate is captured on the filter’s surface before it can become embedded deep within the media. Thus, contaminants are easily removed from the cartridge with just one pulse of compressed air. Easier cleaning means the collector doesn’t need to pulse as often, thereby reducing compressed air usage. Plus, fewer pulses help the cartridges last longer than other standard filters. Best of all, fewer pulses mean reduced outlet emissions and cleaner air. A cartridge dust collector is an important investment that impacts employee health and the operation of plant equipment. To achieve optimal performance from that investment requires the system to pulse clean only when necessary—known as “on-demand cleaning.”

DPC & DPM Pulse Control Panels - 2

SFC 16-4 dust collector with DPC integrated Starter Panel. Other Panels Digital Pressure Monitor (DPM) Occasionally, certain applications require continuous cleaning, which means the dust collector pulses at a time-based interval versus a specific differential pressure level. For these instances, UAS offers the DPM gauge for displaying differential pressure. The DPM features two displays: A numerical digital display gives a reading of the static pressure, so users can see the level at which the system is pulsing; and an arc lighting feature lights up green when pressure buildup levels are...
