U<L UNISIL soft-chem is a 100% pure expanded PTFE Material manufactured with special process that produces a uniform and highly fibrillated microstructure with a lot of fibers running in multidirection. UNISIL soft-chem possesses universal resistance against common chemicals, except melted alkali metal, fluorine at liquid and gas states. It is free from asbestos and other lung-intruding materials. UNISIL Soft-Chem The Softest PTFE material for applications where just minimal surface pressure are possible. Excellent compensation of irregularities of the Sealing Surface. UNISIL soft-chem is an asbestos free material and meets the FDA requirements, doesn't have any corrosion and is able to be stored without any time limits. Also suitable for oxygen applications. Properties: Color: White Thickness: 1.5mm and 3mm (other thicknesses available on request ) Size: 1500mm x 1500mm (other sizes available on request) Temperature range: Suitable for -240°C up to +260°C. for short period up to 315°C Operating pressure: From vacuum to 3,000psi Chemical resistance: Chemically inert against all substances (pH 0- 14), including the most aggressive acids and strong caustic alkaline solution (lyes).
