Technical Data Sheet: High Durability Anti Reflection Coating on GASIR® from 8-12µm
Application: This coating is designed for high transmission in the 8-12µm wavelength range. It is highly durable, capable of withstanding severe abrasion, and suitable for external environmental conditions where regular cleaning is necessary. Importantly, it contains no radioactive materials.
Transmission: For a 2mm thick witness piece, with one face coated with high durability UCS_GASIR_02 and the other side with high efficiency UCS_GASIR_01, the average transmission is greater than 95.0% from 8-12µm.
Reflection: For a 2mm thick witness piece, with one side coated with UCS_GASIR_02, the average reflection is less than 3.0% from 8-12µm.
Environmental Standards: The coating adheres to the following standards:
  • Adhesion: MIL-C-48497A, 08/09/1980, para 4.5.3.1 Tape test
  • Humidity: MIL-C-48497A, 08/09/1980, para 4.5.3.2 72hrs, 49°C, 95-100% relative humidity
  • Abrasion: MIL-C-48497A, 08/09/1980, para 4.5.3.3 Severe, 20 strokes eraser rub test
Sizes: Available up to 275mm in diameter.
Typical Reflection & Transmission Values: Graphs indicate high transmission and low reflection across the specified wavelength range.

High Durability Anti Reflection Coating on GASIR® from 8-12µm Technical Data Sheet UCS_GASIR_02 Application This coating offers high transmission in the pass band 8-12µm. It is a durable coating that can withstand severe abrasion. This coating can be used in external environmental conditions where regular cleaning is required. This coating contains no radioactive material.
