Germanium Ingots Ge/1009 Specifica- Polycrystalline ingots 50 Ω.cm tions Resistivity and type: Guaranteed to exceed 50 Ω.cm n-type over the whole length. Measurements are made at 20 ± 0,5 °C by the 2-point probe method (ASTM F48-93) and thermoelectric probe method (ASTM F42-93-A) on the bottom surface of the ingot. Monocrystalline ingots (L.M.C.) Net impurity concentration: Lower than 1012 cm-3 as calculated from resistivity measurements at 77 K by the Van der Pauw method on head and tail slices (ASTM F76-86) Ingots present a smooth etched surface without clouding. Length: from 100 mm to 400 mm, or upon request Formats (see figure) for polycrystalline ingots 50 Ω.cm weight: ± 70 gram per linear cm trapezoidal cross section for monocrystalline ingots (LMC) weight: 60-70 gram per linear cm trapezoidal cross section Packing Germanium ingots are heat sealed between a tough plastic sheet and a firmsupporting base. They are then packed in cardboard boxes, filled with shock absorbing materials Umicore Electro-Optic Materials is ISO certified: ISO 9001 – ISO 14001 Umicore Electro-Optic Materials Watertorenstraat 33, B – 2250 Olen, BELGIUM optics@umicore.com www.optics.umicore.com
