Ubisense Series 7000 Industrial Tag Ruggedized location tag for industrial environments Specifications Dimensions: 71mm x 64mm x 47mm (2.80” x 2.52” x 1.85”) Weight: 128g (4.5 oz.) (including C-size battery) Temperature: -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F) Humidity: 0 to 95%, non-condensing Enclosure: Design protection level IP67 ABS/PC (V0), UV Stabilized Overview The Ubisense Industrial Tag is a small, rugged device that is intended to be attached to assets and allows them to be located to an accuracy of 15cm* in 3D in real-time. It is specifically designed for use in industrial sites where harsh environmental conditions will be encountered. In addition to its tracking capabilities, it includes additional features such as three LEDs for easy status identification, a motion detector to instantly activate a stationary tag and a push button to trigger events. Accurate location The tag transmits ultra-wideband (UWB) radio pulses which can be used by the Ubisense location system to find its position to within 15cm* in 3D. By using UWB, the system’s accuracy is maintained even in cluttered, multipath-rich indoor environments. The Ubisense UWB location system is the only one capable of measuring both Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) and Time-Difference-of-Arrival (TDoA) of the tag’s signals, enabling it to generate accurate 3D tracking information even when only two sensors can detect the tag. Two-way communication Ubisense tags employ a unique dual-radio architecture – in addition to the one-way UWB radio used for tracking, tags have a conventional bi-directional 2.4GHz radio for control and telemetry. The two-way communication capability allows the Ubisense system to dynamically manage the tag’s update rate, flash the tag’s LEDs, report battery status and button presses, and wirelessly reprogram the tag to enable new features. *Dependent on system configuration and environment. Update rate: 0.00225Hz up to 33.75Hz (can be varied dynamically under software control) Peripherals: LEDs (application controllable) Push button (application controllable) Motion detector Radio frequencies: Ultra-wideband channel: 6 - 8GHz (6 - 7GHz for US Part 15.250 option) Telemetry channel: Narrow-band 2.4GHz Certifications: US: FCC Part 15 FCC IDs SEAMOD21, SEAMOD21HH (SEAMOD23 for Part 15.250 option) EU: CE Canada: RSS-Gen, RSS-102, RSS-210, RSS-220 Industry Canada IDs 8673A-MOD21, 8673A-MOD21HH China: CMIIT ID: 2011DJ3620 Mounting options: Screw, strap, adhesive and Velcro® mountings (via mounting bracket) Industrial tag mounting bracket (Ubisense part code: INDTALLBKT) Power supply: C-size lithium cell Ubisense part codes: INDTALL7021-C (C-cell battery) INDTALL7023-C (C-cell battery, Part 15.250 option) www.ubisense.net Series 7000 Industrial Tag Fact Sheet, Rev 5 EN120822

If the tag is moving quickly, a high update rate can be assigned for best tracking; if it is moving slowly the update can be reduced for best battery lifetime. When stationary, tags sleep to conserve power, an inbuilt motion detector ensures the tag transmits again as soon as it is moved. The Industrial Tag is designed to be rugged for use in harsh...
