Overview
The Series 9000 IP range of Korean-certified sensors are precision ultra-wideband (UWB) measurement devices. They utilize an array of antennas and UWB radio receivers to detect UWB pulses from Ubisense tags, enabling the Ubisense location system to determine tag positions within 15cm in 3D.
Flexible and Scalable Installations
Ubisense employs a cellular architecture to scale installations from small to large areas by tiling them with 'cells' of sensors. Standard Networking

Accuracy
The system maintains location accuracy in cluttered, multipath-rich environments using UWB technology. It measures both Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) and Time-Difference-of-Arrival (TDoA) of tag signals, providing accurate 3D tracking even with minimal sensor detection.
Real-Time Responsiveness
Each sensor can sustain an update rate of up to 134Hz, providing tag location updates every 7.5ms.
Two-Way Communications
The sensors support two-way control and telemetry communications with Ubisense tags over a 2.4GHz radio, allowing dynamic management of tag update rates, feedback via tag LEDs, and wireless reprogramming of tags.
Ease of Maintenance
Sensors are remotely administered over the Ethernet network, with firmware updates downloadable over the network.

By using UWB technology, the system’s location accuracy is maintained even in cluttered, multipath‐ rich indoor environments. The Ubisense UWB location system is the only one capable of measuring both Angle‐of‐Arrival (AoA) and Time‐Difference‐of‐Arrival (TDoA) of tag signals, enabling it to generate accurate 3D tracking information even when only two sensors can detect the tag.
