Compact, Low-Noise Rotary Blower Packages PneuMax II compact, low-noise rotary blower packages are dependable and economical low pressure (up to 15 PSIG or 16” Hg vacuum) air sources for many industrial and municipal applications such as pneumatic conveying of bulk powder or seed, fluidization/agitation of bulk powders, wastewater aeration, milking of dairy cattle and motive force for vacuum exhausting and cleaning systems, all at 85 dB(A) or less. PneuMax II compact, low-noise rotary blower packages offer many distinct advantages over other conventional or enclosed packages: Quality Features Integral Noise Enclosure PneuMax II rotary blower packages include the enclosure as an integral component of the package. No additional mounting of enclosure panels is required. Fork truck pockets allow PneuMax II to be easily transported and positioned at installation. Mounting Base with Integral Silencer PneuMax II utilizes the unique Tuthill-designed integrated silencer/base with integral automatic V-belt tensioning and optimized silencer design to minimize pressure loss and noise, and maximize energy efficiency. Automatic V-belt Tensioning Adjustment of V-belt tension and concerns of belts becoming loose are things of the past with the automatic V-belt tensioning system supplied on all PneuMax II packages. Designed to provide proper belt tension for the entire duration of the V-belt service life, belt tension need only be set when new V-belts are installed. Maintenance Friendly Designed for ease of maintenance, PneuMax II provides easy access for lubrication, intake filter and V-belts. PneuMax II 300/800 include gas shocks for easy access from the top of the package. In addition, the PneuMax II 300 front door panel is easily removed & PneuMax II 800 doors open from the middle (as shown on right). PneuMax II™ rotary blower packages include the following quality features: • M-D Pneumatics™ COMPETITOR® line of rotary blowers that include features normally found only on premium design blowers such as: − Helical timing gears for quiet operation − Double row ball bearings on gear end of all models increases overall design bearing life by as much as 50% − Rotors with integrally cast shafts that allow larger shaft diameters and increased strength • TEFC motor with 1.15 service factor standard • V-belt drive with 1.4 service factor, with automatic belt tensioning system and OSHA belt guard with visual tension indicator • Integral mounting base with discharge silencer • Radial fin atmospheric inlet filter − Optional external inlet connection for vacuum or connection to external filter • Intake filter restriction gauge • Discharge pressure gauge • Pressure relief valve • Oil fill & oil drain • Discharge check valve • Cooling fan • Suitable for installation either indoors or outdoors • Shipped fully assembled, including noise enclosure for convenient installation Multiple Configurations Whatever your air handling needs, there is a PneuMax II available for your application.
