SpecificationsThe coupling is available in different sizes, accommodating nominal pipe sizes from 2 inches (50 mm) to 10 inches (250 mm). It supports a maximum working pressure of 150 PSIG (10.34 barg) and varying end loads depending on the size.
Assembly Procedure- Place a Tuf-Lok coupling ring over each deburred pipe end.
- Use nylon ring gauges to hold the coupling rings in place for correct welding position.
- Tack weld the coupling ring between the ring gauges.
- Remove the nylon ring gauges and continuously weld the ring on the pipe end side.
- Lubricate the Tuf-Lok gasket with a soap solution for easy installation.
- Position the rubber gasket on one pipe end and butt the pipe ends together.
- Slip the Tuf-Lok cover over the rings and against the rubber gasket.
- Position bonded metal tabs on the gasket between cover halves and tighten the covers evenly.
