Tsubaki Surface Treated Neptune Chain

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document outlines Tsubakimoto Chain's advancements in roller chain technology, focusing on the Neptune Chain series. It highlights the company's long-standing history of innovation and dedication to quality and efficiency.

History and Evolution
Since its founding in 1917, Tsubakimoto Chain has led roller chain technology. Notable milestones include the JIS-accredited 612 Series in 1953, the high tensile strength 53 Series in 1969, and the G7 Series in 2006, which improved kW ratings and wear life. The G8 Series, launched in 2016, marks a century of chain line evolution.

Neptune Chain Series
The Neptune Chain series offers superior corrosion and chemical resistance with a unique resin coating, developed after testing 230 combinations. It is RoHS compliant, avoiding hazardous substances like hexavalent chromium, while maintaining the same tensile strength and load capacity as standard chains.

Applications and Benefits
Neptune chains are used in diverse applications such as nursing baths, garbage agitators, automated warehouses, and more. They provide improved service life and resistance to harsh environments, including high humidity and chemical exposure.

Technical Specifications
The document details Neptune chain specifications, including chain numbering, dimensions, tensile strength, and allowable load. It also provides operating temperature guidelines and precautions against galvanic corrosion with stainless steel sprockets.

Conclusion
The Neptune series represents a significant advancement in roller chain technology, offering enhanced durability and environmental compliance. Tsubakimoto Chain's continuous innovation ensures their products meet global efficiency needs.

Selection and Handling
Refer to the Tsubaki Small Size Conveyor Chain catalog for detailed selection and handling procedures.

Precautions in Use
Avoid using steel chains with stainless steel sprockets to prevent galvanic corrosion. Multi-strand chains have slightly less corrosion resistance than single-strand chains. Ensure chains do not contact food, and use covers to prevent contamination.

Chain Numbering and Specifications
The document provides examples of chain numbering and specifications, including pitch, inner width, thickness, height, and diameter for various models.

Operating Temperature Range
Chains operate between -10°C and 150°C. Use high-temperature lubricants above 60°C and consult Tsubaki for temperatures beyond specified ranges.

Safety and Maintenance
Inspect and maintain chains regularly. Follow safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear and using appropriate tools. Do not modify chains or use them for unintended purposes.

Warranty and Claims
Tsubaki offers a limited warranty covering design conformity and material defects at shipment. Claims must be made within specified timeframes, with liability limited to repair or replacement.

Indemnification and Agreement
Buyers are responsible for product design suitability and must indemnify Tsubaki against certain claims. The terms and conditions outlined constitute the entire agreement between the buyer and seller.

One hundred years of fundamental technology, and the endless pursuit of new value. Tsubakimoto Chain has worked tirelessly on improving chain performance since our founding in 1917. We were the first Japanese factory to be accredited by Japan Industrial Standards (JIS) for roller chain in 1953. We dubbed that roller chain our first generation chain, and every decade since we have made major leaps in performance up to the 2006 launch of our G7 Series, the world’s highest quality roller chain. To celebrate our 100th anniversary, we will be launching our next generation G8 Series, the next evolution...

Lower Environmental Load Neptune chains use no harmful hexavalent chromium in their corrosion resistant surface treatment, nor any other hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, or arsenic. Neptune chains are RoHS compliant. No Strength Reduction Uses a special treatment process that does not affect chain strength (part hardness). Neptune chains have the same tensile strength and allowable load as our standard roller chains. RoHS is a directive issued by the European Union limiting the use of specified hazardous substances in electronics or electrical equipment. Unit: kN{kgf} Ref.:...

Nursing Bath A stainless steel chain that would satisfy the required performance would be too big to fit in the space provided, so the user chose a Neptune chain, which has the same strength as steel chain. Slight amounts of detergent and other chemicals are used in the bath, so Neptune provided a much longer service life than steel chains. Used on a stacker crane for mushroom cultivation in a high temperature, high humidity environment. Standard chain quickly corroded and suffered wear, while the required stainless steel chain would be too big, so the user chose Neptune. This equipment turns...

Spiral Conveyor The center of the spiral conveyor rotates and lifts or lowers the conveyed goods. These conveyors are used in high and low temperatures, in contact with water or steam, in contact with chemicals, and many other environments. The drive requires a high tensile strength that stainless steel chains cannot provide. Neptune chain, with its corrosion and chemical resistance, solves this problem. This conveyor conveys food, so there is always a wash-down when different products are conveyed or at the end of operations. Chemicals are used during this wash-down, so we proposed Neptune with...
