Introduction
This document introduces the PFS Series (Plastic for Food Safety) chains for conveyance, specifically designed for safe food handling. The series is developed by Tsubaki and includes the new material PFS, compliant with EU and Japanese food safety regulations.

Material Specifications
The PFS material is a newly developed plastic that complies with the EU Plastics Implementation Measure (PIM) and Japan’s Food Sanitation Act. This ensures the material is safe for direct contact with food products.

Applications

• Conveyance in room temperature cooling processes in bread production lines.
• Other conveyor applications in food production lines.

Features
The chains are designed for sideflexing and are available in various models, such as RSP40-T-CU-PFS and RSP60-CU-PFS-2. They are made-to-order and suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 80°C.

Model Numbering and Specifications

• Model numbers include specifications like chain type, size, and material.
• Maximum allowable load and approximate mass are specified for each model.
• Operating temperature and allowable speed are detailed for both lubricated and non-lubricated conditions.
