Operating Principle
The core mechanism involves a drum with a wire rope. The linear displacement of the rope is converted into angular displacement, which is measured to detect the wire's linear displacement. Exceeding the maximum extension length can damage the wire and mechanics.
Switching Function
The device closes the N.O. dry contact when a preset length threshold is exceeded. The threshold can be set using a self-learning function by connecting Pin 1 (CFG IN) to the ground for a few seconds.
Electrical Connection
The device uses an M12 x 5 pins connector with specific pin assignments for configuration, power, and output.
Dimensions
The transducer has specific dimensions and mounting requirements, including a maximum tightening torque of 2.5Nm for screws.

Absolute measuring length up to 5 m TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION Measuring range - OPERATING PRINCIPLE —Construction The core of a draw wire sensor is a bearings mounted drum on which a wire rope is wound. The unwinding of the rope drives the rotation of the drum, thus the linear displacement of the rope is converted into an angular displacement of the drum. By measuring the angle of the drum, the linear displacement of the wire is detected. Caution Exceeding the maximum extension length of the draw wire will lead to damage to the wire and the mechanics.
