DID632

Product catalog summary
General Information
The DID632 is an active chilled beam designed for integration into various ceiling systems, suitable for room heights up to 4.0 meters. It is particularly effective for grid ceilings with sizes 600 or 625. The system uses a 2-pipe or 4-pipe heat exchanger to provide heating and cooling with low primary air volume flow rates and sound levels. The unit features adjustable air control blades and a hinged, removable induced air grille available in four designs.
Specifications
The DID632 offers high heating and cooling capacities with a maximum cooling capacity of 2450 W and heating capacity of 2970 W. It supports nominal lengths ranging from 900 mm to 3000 mm and operates at a maximum pressure of 6 bar and temperature of 75°C. The primary air volume flow rate ranges from 6 to 85 l/s or 22 to 306 m³/h.
Construction and Materials
The unit is constructed from galvanized sheet steel with a powder-coated finish in RAL 9010 or other RAL colors. The heat exchanger consists of copper tubes and aluminum fins, and the air control blades are made of flame-retardant polypropylene.
Variants and Options
Variants include different grille designs (perforated sheet metal with circular or square holes, longitudinal or transverse blades) and nozzle sizes (small, medium, large, extra-large). Optional features include a control system, additional casing for extract air, and adjustable air control blades.
Standards and Certification
The DID632 is Eurovent certified and conforms to VDI 6022 hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with ventilation and air-conditioning system requirements.
Installation and Maintenance
The unit is designed for easy installation with four suspension points and requires minimal maintenance due to the absence of moving parts. The heat exchanger can be cleaned with an industrial vacuum cleaner if necessary.
Performance and Adjustments
Air control blades allow for adjusting the air discharge pattern to optimize airflow according to room geometry. Blades can be adjusted up to 45° to the right or left in steps of 15°. Factory settings are for straight air discharge; adjustments can affect water-side capacity slightly.
Heat Exchanger Details
Maximum water-side operating pressure is 6 bar. Maximum water flow temperature for heating is 75°C, reduced to 55°C if flexible hoses are used. Cooling circuit water flow temperature should be at least 16°C to avoid falling below the dew point. 2-pipe systems are used for either heating or cooling, while 4-pipe systems can handle both simultaneously.
Order Examples
Examples include configurations with different grille designs, heat exchanger types, nozzle sizes, and casing arrangements, demonstrating the flexibility and customization options available for the DID632.

DID632-4

Induction units for suspended ceilings Functional description Active chilled beams provide centrally conditioned primary air (fresh air) to the room and use heat exchangers for additional cooling and/or heating. The primary air is discharged through nozzles (in 4 sizes) into the mixing chambers; as a result of this, secondary air is induced. Secondary air (room air) is induced via the induced air grille and passes through the horizontal heat exchanger, where it is heated or cooled. Primary and secondary air mix and are then supplied to the room horizontally through the supply...

Induction units for suspended ceilings Set of air control blades If a high cooling capacity is required in a very small space with active chilled beams, optional air control blades allow for adjusting the air discharge pattern such that the acceptable air velocity in the occupied zone is not exceeded. The airflow of each active chilled beam is spread and discharged according to the room geometry. If the use of a room changes, the air discharge pattern can be optimised by adjusting the air control blades accordingly. – It is possible to adjust several air control blades (i.e....
