DID312

Product catalog summary
General Information
The DID312 is an active chilled beam designed for integration into various ceiling systems, suitable for room heights up to 4.00 m. It features a vertical heat exchanger and a condensate drip tray, which are beneficial if the temperature temporarily falls below the dew point. The system is energy-efficient, using water for heating and cooling, and offers high comfort levels with low airflow velocity in occupied zones.
Specifications
  • Dimensions: Nominal lengths range from 900 to 3000 mm, with heights of 210/241 mm and widths of 293, 300, and 312 mm.
  • Performance: Primary air volume flow rate is between 5 – 70 l/s or 18 – 252 m³/h. Cooling capacity is up to 1830 W, and heating capacity is up to 1240 W.
  • Operating Conditions: Maximum operating pressure is 6 bar, and maximum operating temperature is 75 °C.
Variants
  • DID312-LR: Induced air grille with perforated sheet metal, circular holes.
  • DID312-LQ: Induced air grille with perforated sheet metal, square holes.
  • DID312-GL: Induced air grille with longitudinal blades.
  • DID312-GQ: Induced air grille with transverse blades.
Construction and Materials
The casing, front frame, nozzle plate, and perforated induced air grille are made of galvanized sheet steel. The heat exchanger consists of copper tubes and aluminum fins. Exposed surfaces are powder-coated in RAL 9010 or other RAL colors.
Optional Equipment and Accessories
  • Control system.
  • Additional casing for extract air.
  • Heat exchanger powder-coated black.
  • Powder coating in various RAL colors.
Standards and Guidelines
  • Eurovent certified.
  • Hygiene conformity to VDI 6022.
Maintenance
The system requires low maintenance due to no moving parts. The heat exchanger can be vacuumed if necessary.
Functional Description
The DID312 provides centrally conditioned primary air to the room and uses heat exchangers for additional cooling and/or heating. Primary air is discharged through nozzles into mixing chambers, inducing secondary air via the induced air grille, which then passes through the heat exchanger. The mixed air is supplied to the room horizontally through supply air slots.
Technical Data
  • Primary air spigot diameter: 123/158 mm.
  • Quick sizing tables available for reference units.
Order Code
The order code includes specifications for type, induced air grille, heat exchanger, nozzle variant, arrangement of casings and connections, additional casing for extract air, water connections, total length, width of front frame, exposed surface, surface of heat exchanger, and valves and actuators.
Installation Guidelines
  • Suitable for rooms with a clear height up to 4.00 m.
  • Installation involves flush ceiling mounting with side entry primary air spigot.
  • Units require suspension points for installation, with 4 points for smaller units and 6 for larger ones.
  • Water connections are located at the narrow side of the heat exchangers.
Performance and Operation
  • Mixed Flow System: The system discharges supply air at velocities between 2 and 5 m/s, ensuring uniform temperature distribution and air quality.
  • Thermal Output: Detailed parameters include primary air temperature, water flow temperature, and thermal outputs for both air and water sides.
Additional Features
  • Units can be configured with additional casing for extract air, with options for front or rear spigot placement.
  • Non-active sections can be extended, adding 10 kg/m to the unit weight.
