Specifications:Teguflex® TU expansion joints are designed for small diameter pipes ranging from DN 20 to DN 65. They feature an EPDM inner tube and outer cover, suitable for temperatures up to 80°C. These joints are ideal for water, warm water, sea water, air, and weak acids.
Pressure Ratings:- Maximum working pressure: 10 bar at 20°C and 50°C, 6 bar at 80°C.
- Test pressure: 15 bar at 20°C.
- Burst pressure: Greater than 30 bar at 20°C.
Applications:Recommended for use in small diameter installations where screwed connections are preferred over flanges. Suitable for pumps, air-conditioning systems, and irrigation systems, especially where large lateral or angular movements occur.
Design:The TU expansion joints are designed to absorb pipe movements, isolate vibrations, reduce noise, and protect against startup and surge forces. The twin sphere design offers flexibility and pressure resistance, with metal parts made of malleable cast iron and zinc plated, available with BSP or NPT threaded unions.
Dimensions and Movements:Permissible movements include compression, elongation, lateral, and angular movements, with specific values for each DN size. Maximum permissible pressure is 10 bar at 20°C and 6 bar at 80°C, with a vacuum rating of 0.5 bar.
Union Flange Qualities:Zinc plated threaded ends are standard, with stainless steel options available upon request. BSP is the standard union, with NPT available upon request.
