All the Trelawny Needle Scalers are delivered from stock complete with 180mm long x 3mm diameter chisel tipped high performance needles. Other needle holders are available as accessories for use with 2mm and 4mm diameter needles. We also offer spark resistant needles for use in potentially hazardous areas & stainless steel for use in areas where the effect of corrosion from humidity can be a problem such as applications in the food processing industry. Varying pack sizes are offered to give customers a variety of choices, including bulk needle boxes. Standard quantities are offered from stock in packs of 6 needle sets per carton (shown below). These needles will clean the same materials as a pointed tip, but will leave light surface marking. Spark Resistant Beryllium Copper 3mm The flat tips needles will reduce marking on metal surfaces and can actually give a polishing effect. For use on thin gauge metals and any surface where a light treatment is required. 2mm needle used on a welded joint produces a similar effect to shot peening, reducing stress in the weld. Stainless Steel Available in 3mm flat tip form only, to be used in applications such as refurbishment of food processing machinery or areas of high humidity where the corrosive effect on needles would be prohibitive.
