Toyota’s highly reliable 4Y engine. The In 1986, Toyota introduced the 4Y industrial engine, which was designed specifically to meet the demands associated with heavy duty industrial applications. The high durability and reliability designed into the 4Y industrial engine made it a perfect match for other products, such as commercial vehicles, compressors, bus coolers and gas heat pumps.
