It includes a stainless steel flexible hose, branchline inlet nipple, straight sprinkler reducer, and necessary brackets and clamps, facilitating installation in false ceilings without pipe cutting. Suitable for offices, schools, hospitals, and shopping complexes.
Technical Data
The hose is UL Listed and FM Approved, available in lengths from 700 mm to 1800 mm, with braided and unbraided options. It supports ISO 7-R 1 inlet connections and 1/2 in. NPT and 3/4 in. NPT outlet connections. Maximum service pressure is 13.8 bar for braided and 12.1 bar for unbraided hoses, with a maximum ambient temperature of 107°C. Materials include AISI Type 304 Stainless Steel.
Design Criteria
The FH-1 hose must be installed per NFPA standards and is compatible with ASTM C635 and C636 ceiling grid standards. Approved for Intermediate-Duty and Heavy-Duty structural classifications, it is intended for direct sprinkler connections.
Installation
Installation involves orienting the inlet nipple, hand-tightening slip nuts, and securing the support bar and clamps. The hose should be bent smoothly without twisting, adhering to minimum bend radius requirements. The sprinkler reducer must be correctly positioned and secured.
Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance, inspection, and servicing are required per NFPA standards and jurisdictional requirements. Impairments must be corrected immediately, and inspections should be conducted by qualified services. Authorities must be notified before and after system maintenance.
Tables and Figures
Includes tables detailing hose specifications, such as discharge coefficients, maximum bends, and equivalent pipe lengths. Figures illustrate the hose assembly, installation guidance, and clamp applications.
Inspection and Maintenance Recommendations
Automatic sprinkler systems should be inspected, tested, and maintained by a qualified Inspection Service in accordance with local requirements and/or national codes.
