Vigivolt

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information on surge protection devices designed to protect electrical systems from transient surges and temporary overvoltages. These devices are essential for preventing damage to electrical equipment and ensuring user safety.
Transient Surges: Transient surges are sudden increases in current that can reach several kilovolts, often caused by atmospheric discharges or network commutations. They can damage electrical devices, reduce their lifespan, and interrupt service. Protective devices like Vigivolt are used to mitigate these effects.
Temporary Overvoltages: Defined as a network current increase exceeding 10% of the nominal value for an indefinite period, temporary overvoltages can result from neutral loss or transformer failures. They pose similar risks as transient surges, and devices like Vigivolt help by disconnecting the power supply.
Surge Protection Devices: The document lists various models of surge protection devices, categorized by their capacity to handle transient surges and temporary overvoltages. These include single-phase and three-phase devices with different amperage ratings and surge capacities.
Product Specifications: The document provides detailed specifications for each model, including part numbers, phase type, voltage ratings, and surge capacity. It also highlights compliance with European regulations on protection devices against temporary overvoltages.
Key Models: Some highlighted models include V2T-60, V3T-60, and FV-500/2, each with specific voltage and surge capacity ratings suitable for different applications.
Compliance: All new models comply with European regulations, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards for protection against temporary overvoltages.

Surge protection devices Transient surges It is a sudden and high current increase (µs) on an electricity network, that can reach many kV. In their majority they are caused by atmospheric discharges, even if sometimes they are due to commutations on the network. against overvoltages They can provoke serious damages and the destruction of the electrical devices, bad operation and reduction of their estimated life as well as interruption of the service to users. All these problems can be eliminated reducing this hard impulse by protective devices (Vigivolt). Temporary overvoltages It can be dened as an increase of the network current, over the 10% of the nominal value for an indenite time, from milliseconds to hours. The origin is due to the neutral loss or to a failure of the medium voltage transformer. As for the transient surges, the temporary overvoltages can cause damages and the destruction of the electrical devices, their premature aging and loss of safety for the users. The devices (Vigivolt) avoid these risks by switching off the power supply, acting on the main switch. www.toscano.es TOSCANO LINEA ELECTRONICA, S.L.
