Product catalog summary
Overview: The T-500 flow magmeter series is designed for measuring the flow of conductive liquids using electromagnetic principles. It is available in both compact and remote versions, with the new T-550 model offering battery-powered operation.
Specifications:
  • Nominal diameter: DN25 to DN500
  • Nominal pressure: PN10 to PN16, up to PN40 on request
  • Body material: Carbon Steel with hard rubber lining (PTFE optional)
  • Measuring electrodes: Stainless Steel AISI 316L (Hastelloy optional)
  • Flow range: 0.1 to 10 m/s
  • Accuracy: 0.25% for 0.5 to 10 m/s, 1% for 0.1 to 0.5 m/s
  • Temperature range: -10º to +90º C for hard rubber, -30º to +150º C for PTFE
  • Voltage: 230 V AC (24 V AC or 12/24 V DC optional)
  • Outputs: Multiple programmable outputs including RS232
  • Protection class: IP67 (sensor), IP65 (converter)
Key Features:
  • High accuracy and stability
  • Robust construction with no moving parts
  • Local display for instantaneous and totalized flow
  • Empty pipe detection and datalogger for 10,000 readings
  • USB port for data transfer
Operating Principle: Based on Faraday’s law of induction, the magmeter measures flow by detecting the voltage induced by a conductive fluid moving through a magnetic field. This method ensures no pressure drop and is unaffected by solid particles.
Installation Guidelines:
  • Avoid placing the sensor in the pump suction area
  • Install the sensor at the bottom section of horizontal or rising pipes
  • Ensure straight pipe sections of at least 5xDN upstream and 3xDN downstream
  • Protect the equipment from direct sunlight and vibrations
Calibration: The calibration certificate confirms testing against standard flowmeters using volumetric methods, with an uncertainty of 0.3%.

Brochure T500 2014 - Electromagnetic flowmeters-2

T-500 flowmeter series uses the electromagnetic principle to measure the flow of conductive liquids. There is therefore no moving parts in contact with the liquid, so it is not affected by the solid particles that could pass through the pipe, and there is no pressure drop. It is made of carbon steel with a hard rubber lining (PTFE on request), which allows its use in many applications in the chemical industry. It includes a local display of the instantaneous and totalized flow. • High accuracy. • Excellent stability. • Robust construction. • Long operating life. • Compact or remote...

Big backlit display. Easy adjustment. Operating principle Electromagnetic flowmeters are systems with no moving parts, causing no restriction to the flow, so the pressure drop is irrelevant. Its principle is based on Faraday’s law of induction, which enables accurate and reliable measurements. “Any conductive fluid moving through a magnetic field, induces a voltage which is directly proportional to the speed of the conductor and the amplitude of the magnetic field”. 1. If the system includes pumps, never place the sensor in the pump suction area (A). 2. Place the sensor at the bottom section...
