Introduction
Torque Transmission, based in Fairport Harbor, OH, provided a solution for ShadeFX Canopies, a Toronto-based manufacturer of retractable canopies. The solution involved a custom right angle gear drive that enhanced the simplicity and integration of their canopy system.

The Problem
ShadeFX Canopies required a component that would allow their retractable canopy system to be easily installed and integrated with their motor and drive beam. The system needed to accommodate a monorail beam that supports the canopy centrally, eliminating the need for track alignment and allowing for mounting on potentially shifting wood frames.

The Solution
Torque Transmission provided a Custom Right Angle Gear Box, modified to meet specific requirements, along with timing pulleys, an idler shaft, and keys. These components were delivered as a kit in a sealed, compartmentalized container, simplifying inventory and ordering.
