FINE BUBBLE DIFFUSER DBF The fine bubble diffuser is one of the aeration systems that gives the best results. This is achieved by pushing air through an elastic membrane in which a great number of microcuts have been made. The diffusers are made up of two PVC tubes connected to a “T” joint. An E.P.D.M. membrane around the tubes diffuses the air to be distributed inside it. The microcuts in the membrane work as a valve, letting air pass under pressure and preventing the passage of the water. The result is a fine air bubble that, due to its small size, from 0.5 to 1 mm, rises slowly to the surface. Different installation systems can be used according to the design of the basins to be aerated (circular, rectangular, mixed, Homogenizing, Preaeration, Aeration, Shaking... Before going into service the installation should be tested. APPLICATIONS In tubular membrane diffusers (unlike the ceramic ones) THERE IS NO DANGER OFOBSTRUCTION, not even in the presence of large quantities of grease. It can therefore be used in all kinds of aeration basins in aerobic treatment plants. In addition, the presence of solids in suspension and the intermittent use of the aeration system cause no problems. The diffusers can eliminate biological films or solids simply with overexpansion.
