Product range and characteristics Pyromex® is an oxidised organic fiber with excellent heat and flame resistance. It also features excellent resistance to chemicals and good electrical insulation properties. In addition, unlike inorganic fibers, this fiber is highly processible for yarn spinning and weaving. Pyromex® is widely used in antispattering sheets for welding, fleeces or needle felts for heat protection in the automotive and aerospace industry, heat protective clothing, protective garment for furnaces, heat insulators and applications in many other fields involving flames or heat. Other applications include the use of Pyromex® as a raw material for brake or clutch discs or other high temperature carbon/carbon composite (C/C) parts.
