Product catalog summary
Overview: The NA011 feeder protection relay is designed for cost-effective protection of lines and transformers, featuring automatic reclosing capabilities. It is suitable for radial networks and can be used in both solidly grounded and ungrounded systems, with specific considerations for each type.
Protective and Control Functions: The relay includes phase overcurrent (50/51), residual overcurrent (50N/51N), automatic recloser (79), and breaker failure (BF) functions. It supports both traditional and low power current transformers (CTs and LPCTs) for current inputs, and provides metering capabilities for phase and residual currents.
Programming and Settings: Relay settings can be configured via a Man Machine Interface (MMI) or a PC using ThySetter software. It includes a cold load pickup (CLP) feature to prevent unwanted tripping during temporary overcurrents.
Communication: The NA011 relay features RS232 and RS485 communication interfaces, supporting Modbus RTU and IEC 60870-5-103 protocols for remote monitoring and control.
Self Diagnostics: The relay continuously monitors its hardware and software functions, reporting anomalies through display messages, communication interfaces, LEDs, and output relays.
Data Storage and Recording: The relay includes a sequence of event recorder, fault recorder, and digital fault recorder (oscillography), with data stored in non-volatile memory in COMTRADE format.
Specifications: Designed for flush or rack mounting, the relay weighs 1.2 kg and meets various insulation, EMC, climatic, and mechanical test standards, ensuring robust performance under different environmental conditions.
Input and Output Circuits: The relay supports a wide range of auxiliary power supply voltages and includes multiple binary inputs and output relays, each programmable for specific functions.
Protective Functions: The relay offers multiple threshold settings for phase and residual overcurrent protection, with both definite and inverse time characteristics. It also supports autoreclose functions with configurable reclosure cycles and times.
Construction and User Interface: The relay features a membrane keyboard, backlight LCD display, and multiple LEDs for status indication. It provides manual control of circuit breaker commands through dedicated keys.

Protection Relays NA011 FEEDER PROTECTION RELAY THE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION FOR THE PROTECTION OF LINES AND TRANSFORMERS WITH AUTOMATIC RECLOSER — Application The relay type NA011 can be used in radial networks as feeder or power transformer protection. In solidly grounded systems the residual overcurrent protection can be used on feeders of any length, while in ungrounded or Petersen coil and/or resistance grounded systems, the residual overcurrent protection can be used on feeders of small length in order to avoid unwanted trippings due to the capacitive current contribution of the feeder on external ground fault. The NA011 protection relay may be shipped with traditional CTs or low power (LPCT) current inputs; for both versions, the residual overcurrent protection can use the measured (CTs or balanced transformer) or the calculated residual current. 52 79 Phase CTs BF Control functions 50 Low power CTs (LPCT) 50 50N 51 METERING - I L1..I L3,I E Alternative - Oscillography - Events & Faults log - Data Logger 51 51N COMMUNICATION - RS232 - Modbus RS485 NA011 - Flyer - 05 - 2012 - Protective & control functions 50/51 50N/51N 79 BF Phase overcurrent Residual overcurrent Automatic recloser Breaker failure
