Cyclone Box Furnace

Cyclone Box Furnace

Cyclone Box Furnace

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Cyclone Box Furnace is designed for rapid and uniform heating, available in electric or gas-fired models. It is highly productive due to its quick heating capabilities and ability to handle heavy, dense loads efficiently. The furnace uses a unique recirculating convection heating system for temperature uniformity, typically within ±10°F, and can achieve ±5°F with specific fixturing. The work chamber is metal-lined for durability, with a temperature range up to 1250°F (1400°F).
Applications: The furnace is suitable for various processes including aging, annealing, austempering, baking, preheating, solution treating, stress relieving, and tempering.
Features/Benefits: Key features include excellent temperature uniformity, high productivity, ease of use and maintenance, separate work and heat chambers, versatility for multiple applications, compact size, metal-lined work chamber with ceramic insulation, high-velocity recirculating fan, and a complete pre-wired control panel with SCR power control and excess temperature instrument.
Options: Available options include inert atmosphere systems, roller rail hearth, and various control and recorder options.
Specifications:
  • Electric Models: Various models with work dimensions ranging from 24x36x18 inches to 60x96x48 inches, input power from 34 kW to 135 kW, and fan horsepower from 3 to 15 HP.
  • Gas-Fired Models: Models with work dimensions from 24x36x18 inches to 48x84x48 inches, BTU ratings from 240,000 to 800,000, and fan horsepower from 5 to 15 HP.

Cyclone Box Furnace-1

Cyclone Box Furnace The rapid, uniform heating of the Cyclone® Box Furnace has been proven in thousands of installations. Available in either electric powered or gas-fired models, the Cyclone is very productive for two reasons. First, the cycle time is minimized by the rapid heating capability, Second, very heavy, dense loads can be uniformly treated, maximizing your throughput in a very compact, efficient package. The work is brought rapidly to temperature by the unique recirculating convection heating system that forces pressurized air through the load at high velocity. Temperature uniformity is typically ±10°F or better; if specific fixturing is used, ±5°F can be attained. Loading the Cyclone is foolproof. Because the fan and heater are separate from the load chamber, damage from accidental contact is eliminated and overheating by direct radiant heat is avoided. The entire work chamber is metal lined for maximum durability. Temperature range to 1250°F (1400° F). Specifications & Product Information is subject to change without notice.
