Product catalog summary
High Temperature Furnace Probe Overview
This document provides technical specifications for high temperature furnace probes designed for continuous use at temperatures exceeding 1100°C. The probes utilize types 'R' and 'S' thermocouples and are equipped with heat-resistant ceramic protection tubes tailored to the process media.

Specifications
  • Outer Protection Tube Material: Options include aluminous porcelain, recrystallised alumina, and silicone carbide, with dimensions customizable to fit specific needs.
  • Inner Protection Tube Material: Similar materials as the outer tube, with customizable dimensions.
  • Support Tube: Made from 316 stainless steel, with length and diameter adjustable to match protection tubes.
  • Process Connection: Available in plain sheath (HD), screwed (HDS) with BSPT/BSPP/NPT threads, or flanged (HDF) in any size.
  • Thermocouple Sensor: Single or duplex elements using R (Pt-13% Rh/Pt) or S (Pt-10%Rh/Pt) thermocouples, available in wire diameters of 0.35mm, 0.45mm, or 0.50mm, supported by aluminous porcelain insulators, compliant with BS EN 60584-1:2013.
  • Temperature Range: 0 to +1700°C (-32 to +3092°F).
  • Terminal Head: Constructed from die-cast aluminium with a hinged, screw-down cap and M20 cable entry, rated to IP67 for environmental protection.
  • Temperature Transmitter: Optionally available with an in-head transmitter for 4-20mA output.

Very High Temperature Furnace Sensor (HTF)-1

THERMAL Detection Product Code: HTF HTFS HTFF High Temperature Furnace Probe Description: For continuously high temperatures in excess of 1100°C, types ‘R’ and ‘S’ thermocouples are used, together with different types of heat resistant ceramic protection tubes, dependant on the process media. As with all high temperature sensor assemblies, those with long sheath lengths should be either independently supported or mounted in a vertical or near vertical orientation to resist ‘droop’.
