The Bi-Metallic Indicator (BMI) is a durable temperature indicator designed for use in industrial and process plant environments, particularly where no power supply is available.   • Stem Dimensions: Diameter options include metric sizes of 6, 8, 10, 12mm and imperial sizes of 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”. Lengths range from 65mm to 600mm, depending on range and diameter.
  • Stem Entry to Dial: Options include bottom entry, center back entry, and any angle with 90° angle stem adjustment and 180° head rotation.
  • Temperature Range: -50°C to +500°C, Class 1.

Usage Recommendations
For process pressures exceeding 3.5 Bar, it is recommended to use the BMI with a screwed or flanged thermowell. Thermowells can be fabricated for pressures up to 10 bar or solid drilled from hex bar stock.

Bi-Metallic Indicator Description: The BMI is a rugged temperature indicator designed for general industrial and process plant use. Especially useful where there is no power supply available. Suitable for monitoring temperature ranges up to 500°C, and available either with a bottom or centre back stem entry. Where process pressures are in excess of 3.5 Bar it is advisable to use the BMI in conjunction with a screwed or flanged thermowell. These can be supplied as either fabricated (for process pressures up to 10 bar) or solid drilled from hex bar stock..
