Other terms are used synonymously - such as humidity, material moisture, absolute moisture, moisture content, gravimetric water content etc., these words must be clearly distinguished from all expressions referring to the share of steam in gases such as humidity, relative humidity, water vapor content etc. The ATRO moisture details only refers to the water content in the dry mass of the substance. This is done by collecting samples of the product with different moisture contents, which cover a typical range of applications. Moisture in the sample is then measured using both a suitable laboratory method and the microwave resonance method. In the drying process (drying kiln, drying balance), the sample moisture is determined mainly by the amount of weight lost.
