Design and Application
The Tetra Hoyer DeepBlue SM sandwich module is designed for the continuous production of ice cream sandwiches. It shapes and cuts slices of high viscous low-temperature ice cream, which are then inserted between sandwich biscuits. The module is a stand-alone unit that can be connected to a single-lane flow wrapping machine. It is built on a stainless steel frame, ensuring all parts in contact with the ice cream are made from stainless steel.

Module Description
The module includes a biscuit dispenser that places the bottom biscuit on the chain conveyor carriers. A slice of ice cream is placed on the bottom biscuit, followed by a top biscuit, with an after-pressing device ensuring adhesion. The biscuit dispenser is available in two versions: gravity and rotary. The gravity dispenser can handle products with a width of 45-100 mm, length of 70-135 mm, and thickness of 25-40 mm, with a capacity of up to 100 products per minute. The rotary dispenser handles products with a width of 45-100 mm, length of 50-100 mm, and thickness of 25-40 mm, with a capacity of up to 150 products per minute.

Product and Biscuit Suitability
The thickness of the biscuits must be between 3.2 mm and 8 mm. Products with maximum thickness cannot also have maximum width. The suitability of biscuits is evaluated by Tetra Pak based on samples provided, with recommendations given as a guide only.
