Tetra Alfast®B4 Direct In-line blending Tetra Alfast B4 is a high performance unit designed for automatic in-line blending of dairy products and in-line standardisation of the fat, solids non-fat, total solids and protein content in the finished product. It can handle a wide range of liquid dairy ingredients such as; whole and skim milk, concentrated skim milk, cream, whey cream and concentrate, vegetable oils, chocolate or other slurries, sugar, UF permeate and retentate and more. The Tetra Alfast ensures high repeatability and high precision to give uniform product quality to a low operational cost. On receiving signals from transmitters in the ingredient line, the computer calculates the ingredient composition, in relation to set points and flow rates, and then transmits control signals to the flow regulating component, thereby controlling the ingredient composition whenever required in the formulated dairy product. The base blending and standardisation operation is based on flow measurement and analyzed information on the composition in the ingredient tank. Working principle By continuously controlling the ingredients in an automation control loop a precise ingredient composition is achieved in the fomulated dairy product. For in-line measurement of the composition from the ingredient tank a density or a mass flow transmitter can be installed.
