Tesar Italy has achieved certification for environmental, climatic, and fire behavior classes E4-C3-F1 according to IEC 60076-11:2018 for a cast resin transformer with a rated power of 1000kVA and rated voltages of 20/0.4kV BIL 125kV. This certification aligns with the latest ECO DESIGN Tier2 losses as per EU 548/2014 and EU 1783/2019.
The transformer underwent a series of tests, including the Thermal Shock Test (C3), Condensation and Humidity Penetration Test (E4), and Fire Behavior Test (F1). These tests were certified by CESI, an independent third-party laboratory in Milan.
The certification ensures that Tesar's transformers are suitable for extreme environments such as coastal areas, deserts, and regions with heavy pollution or extreme cold temperatures.
- C3: Suitable for transport and storage at temperatures down to -40°C and operation at -25°C, minimizing installation issues.
- E4: Suitable for environments with conductive dust, industrial smoke, salt spray, and strong winds carrying sand and salt.
- F1: Suitable for fire hazard areas, ensuring restricted flammability and low emission of toxic substances and smoke.
