Their company’s buildings are close to Tunis Airport. One of their major activities is pipe laying. Shortly they increased their machinery by a HDD machine TERRA-JET 5415 S. The first bore was 84 m (275 ft) long. A HDPE pipe OD 315 mm (12”) had to be pulled in nearby a petrol refinery. The underground consisted of highly compacted sand. The pilot bore took around 3 hours. The locating of the drill head was easily possible in the drilling depth of 2.20 m (7.2 ft). The drill head reached the arrival pit right on target. The TERRA-JET 5415 S drives into the starting position nearby the refinery. It is driven by its two joy sticks.
