Product catalog summary
Overview: Temprite specializes in oil management systems for refrigeration, focusing on CO2 subcritical and transcritical applications up to 130 bar, compliant with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
Product Specifications: The catalog includes various models of oil separators, such as the coalescent 920 and 920R Series, known for high efficiency in removing particulates and separating oil from refrigerant gas using borosilicate glass filters.
Key Features: Coalescent oil separators maintain efficiency regardless of velocity changes. The 320 and 340 Series offer 99.995% efficiency in removing particulates between 0.3 and 0.6 microns. The 900 Series enhances system performance by eliminating contaminants.
Models and Capacities: Detailed specifications for models include dimensions, connector sizes, and oil charge capacities. For instance, Model 501 has a maximum working pressure of 650 PSIG and an oil charge capacity of 16 oz (475 ml).
Additional Products: Temprite offers oil reservoirs, oil level controls, and filter kits, with information on replacement components like gaskets and sealing washers.
Recommendations: Use the Temprite Energy Savings Calculator for potential savings and regularly check the Pressure Differential Indicator (PDI) to ensure filters are not clogged.
Specifications: Capacities for models (922-930R) are listed in tons and kW for various refrigerants and temperatures, with connection sizes from 5/8" to 3-1/8".
Procedures: Instructions for using Clean-Up® and Standard Filters are provided. Filters should be changed when the pressure differential exceeds 13.5 PSID/0.9 bar.
Norms and Recommendations: Avoid using separators with smaller connections than the discharge line size. Contact Temprite engineering for non-reciprocating compressor applications.
Key Charts and Data: Capacity charts for different refrigerants and temperatures, and a pressure drop vs. particulate loading chart are included.
Technical Specifications: Series 130 coalescent oil separators are designed for R744 transcritical applications, with a maximum operating pressure of 130 bar and a separation efficiency of 98.5%+.
Procedures: Use A-7 or Y1236C valves for systems with built-in oil reservoirs. TraxOil electronic oil level control does not require a pressure-reducing valve.
Norms and Standards: Series 130 products comply with CE, CRN, UL, and ULC standards. TraxOil products meet European RoHS & WEEE directives.
Recommendations: Temprite offers liquid receivers and high-pressure components for CO2 systems. TraxOil TR3 models are recommended for accurate oil level detection.
Key Features: Series 130 offers high efficiency and easy filter changing. TraxOil TR3 features a digital processor and IP65 rating for protection.
Challenges and Solutions: Series 130 separators efficiently handle high-pressure challenges and "dirtier" CO2 systems with a 98.5%+ efficiency.
Technical Data: TraxOil TR3 operates with a maximum working pressure of 623.7 psi/43 bar and is compatible with various compressor models.
Specifications: Lists oil level systems and compatible compressor models, including TR3207, TR3210, TR3212, TR3214, and TR3221.
Procedures: Steps for refrigerant changeout include cleaning the compressor’s sump, installing a Temprite 920/R Series Separator, and using a Clean-Up® Filter.
Recommendations: TraxOil products are approved by major compressor manufacturers.

The Temprite Product Line The Temprite 320 and 340 Series are the first oil separators designed for refrigerant recovery/reclaim systems. Based on our robust 900 Series, the 320 and 340 Series units are 99.995% efficient in removing particulates between 0.3 and 0.6 microns (µm) and separating oil from the mass flow. The elimination of the float ball and the internal oil reservoir maximizes efficiency by minimizing oil carryover. It also has the advantage Model 320 of being one of the smallest oil separators available for its capacity. Metering the oil return back to the compressor may be done...

Clean-Up® Filter Clean-Up® Filter Instructions Cleaning up after a compressor burnout is easy with Tempriteʼs Clean-Up® Filter.* The Clean-Up® Filter is designed for more “dirt loading” than Tempriteʼs Standard Filter.** It removes dirt and contaminants down to 3 microns. Just install a Clean-Up® Filter in a Temprite 920 or 920R Series Coalescent Oil Separator along with the Model 224 Pressure Differential Indicator (PDI). When the PDI stays below 13.5 PSID/0.9 bar, your system is clean. Then switch-out the Clean-Up® Filter with Tempriteʼs Standard Filter and youʼll have oil separation to 98.5%,...

Accessible Coalescent Oil Separators Pressure Drop vs Particulate Loading The above figures are for design conditions given in the Temprite catalog with normal oil loading. System design conditions such as pipe sizing, other discharge line components, piping layout, undersized oil separators, higher density oils, high oil levels or liquid loading may cause a higher than normal pressure drop. The above figures are for medium temp R-22 systems with 150-300 SSU or 32-48 cSt viscosity mineral oil. Higher density oils such as 450 SSU or 68 cSt will have a slightly higher pressure drop. Pressure Drop...
