Product catalog summary
Ceramic Tubing Overview
This document provides detailed specifications and pricing for ceramic tubing, specifically 'D' type thermowells and fabricated thermowells, made from materials C610 and C799. These materials are used for their high alumina content, providing excellent chemical resistivity and thermal stability.

Material Specifications
  • C610: Minimum 60% alumina content, maximum service temperature of 1450°C, and good chemical resistivity.
  • C799: Minimum 99.7% alumina content, maximum service temperature of 1800°C, and excellent chemical resistivity.

Physical Properties
  • Both materials have zero water absorption and nil gas permeability.
  • Hardness: C610 has a hardness of 68 R45N, while C799 has 83 R45N.
  • Flexural strength: C610 is 210 N/mm², C799 is 365 N/mm².

Product Listings
The document lists various ceramic tubes with their dimensions (OD, ID, Length) and prices in both Sterling and Euros. The products are categorized by material type (C610 and C799) and include specific product codes for ordering.

Ceramic Cement & Fibre Rope
The document also details a two-component ceramic cement system, comprising cement and binder, used for sealing ceramic tubes. The mix ratio is 75% cement to 25% binder by weight. Additionally, ceramic fibre ropes are available, which are thermally stable up to 1200°C.

Additional Notes
All ceramics are supplied to coarse tolerances of DIN 40680. Silicon nitride tubes are available upon request. Prices are subject to change, and customers are advised to check the website for the most current information.

The mix ratio is approximately 75% by weight cement, 25% by weight binder. These can be purchased separately or as a package (3kg cement to 1kg binder). The two should be mixed together to a consistency similar to honey and then applied to the outer surface of the ceramic tube. The mix can also be applied to the ID of the holding tube (generally Stainless Steel) and the ceramic tube inserted. For best results mild heat...
