A single component of the system performs two distinct functions: - Central conductor for the circular magnetization - Solenoid with laminated iron for the longitudinal magnetization This cylinder has three connectors that attach to the current generator. The first connector must always be connected; the center conductor is attached to the second connector; and the solenoid is connected to the third connector. The operator will connect the first two connectors to execute the longitudinal magnetization test; he will then switch the connection from the second to the third connector.
