TapTone® FSB

Product catalog summary
Overview: The TapTone Force Stainless (FSB) system is designed for rapid on-line inspection of containers, accommodating conveyor heights up to 1.96 m (77 in). It is suitable for harsh environments due to its stainless steel construction and reinforced side plates, making it ideal for high pressure and high-speed applications.
Key Benefits:
  • Fast inspection speeds up to 2.67 m/sec (525 ft/min).
  • User-friendly operation with a large color touch screen and icon-driven menus.
  • Multi-level password protection for controlled access.
  • Capability to run up to four primary inspections on a single controller.
  • Two independently operated reject outputs for sorting and rejecting.
  • Compliance with CE requirements and UL/CUL approval.
Force Technology: The system detects leaks and low pressure in LN2 dosed containers, carbonated beverage containers, and aerosol containers. It uses DSP technology to analyze pressure measurements and assigns a merit value to each container, triggering a reject signal if the value is outside the acceptable range.
Applications:
  • Pressure/leak inspection in carbonated or LN2 dosed beverage cans and plastic containers.
  • Inspection in LN2 dosed retorted dairy-based drinks.
  • Pressure/leak inspection in aerosol cans with gas or liquid propellants.
  • Inspection in containers with internal pressure up to 11 bar (160 psi).
Specifications:
  • Pressure measurement range: Up to 11 bar (160 psi).
  • Operating speed: Maximum 2.67 m/sec (525 ft/min).
  • Conveyor height range: 91.4 cm to 196 cm (36 in to 77 in).
  • Material: 304 stainless steel for transport deck and frame.
  • Supports multiple languages and industrial Ethernet protocols.
System Options:
  • Air pressure monitoring with alarm signals.
  • Belt wash system for cleaning and drying compression belts.
  • Cap inspection sensors for detecting missing, high, or cocked caps.
  • Pneumatic ram and standing rejection systems.
  • Reject verification to ensure failed containers are removed.
  • Trigger blow-off for maintaining photo trigger lens cleanliness.
Compatibility: The FSB sensor is compatible with T4000 HMI and PRO Series systems and can be added as an upgrade to existing systems.

TapTone® FSB-1

FORCE TECHNOLOGY Bringing Pressure Inspection to New Heights The TapTone Force Stainless (FSB) has all of the features and inspection capabilities of our standard FS system but is designed to accommodate conveyor heights up to 1.96 m (77 in). The system inspects 100% of containers at production line speeds and is manufactured with a stainless steel transport system for harsh environments. Reinforced side plates give extra rigidity for high pressure applications and allow for a stable reading with excellent resolution. The system can alternatively be fit with a mid-range or low range pressure sensor for applications that require all-stainless steel construction. Force Stainless Stainless steel construction and reinforced side plates make the FSB the ideal system for high pressure and high speed applications, where conveyor height is a challenge. • Rapid on-line inspection: up to 2.67 m/sec (525 ft/min) maximum • Pressure/Leak inspection in carbonated or LN2 dosed beverage cans • Easy operation & product set-up using a large color touch screen and icon driven menus • Pressure/Leak inspection in carbonated or LN2 dosed plastic containers • Controlled access to system features with multi-level passwords • Pressure/Leak inspection in LN2 dosed retorted dairy based drinks • Combined inspections on a single controller: run up to 4 primary inspections • Pressure/Leak inspection in aerosol cans with gas propellents • Reject and sort with 2 independently operated reject outputs • Pressure inspection in aerosol cans with liquid propellent • Meets CE requirements, UL and CUL approved • Pressure/Leak inspection in containers with internal pressure up to 11 bar or 160 psi • Designed to fit conveyor heights up to 1.96 cm (77 in) How It Works Force Technology Detects leaks and low pressure in LN2 dosed containers, carbonated beverage containers and aerosol containers. Parallel belts transport the container past a sensor that measures the tension on the sidewall of the container. This action allows the system to measure the pressure inside the container. Utilizing DSP technology, the controller analyzes the measurement and assigns a merit value to each container. If the merit value is outside of the acceptable range, a reject signal activates a remote reject system and the container is removed from the line.
