Current Probes

Product catalog summary
Overview
LeCroy current probes are designed for accurate measurement of AC, DC, and impulse currents without the need to break circuits or insert shunts. They utilize a combination of Hall effect and transformer technology, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

Integration with Oscilloscopes
LeCroy current probes are fully integrated with oscilloscopes via the ProBus® connection, eliminating the need for external power supplies or amplifiers. This integration allows for automatic display of current waveforms in Amps and power traces in Watts, with features like Degauss and Autozero accessible directly from the oscilloscope.

Applications
These probes are versatile, with models supporting bandwidths up to 100 MHz and peak currents up to 700 A. They are used in various applications, including the design and testing of switching power supplies, motor drives, electric vehicles, and uninterruptible power supplies.

Product Specifications
  • CP031: 30A, 100 MHz bandwidth, small form factor, suitable for crowded boards.
  • CP030: 30A, 50 MHz bandwidth, designed for tight spaces.
  • AP015: 30A, 50 MHz bandwidth, features overheating protection and probe unlock detection.
  • CP150: 150A, 10 MHz bandwidth, supports high peak currents.
  • CP500: 500A, 2 MHz bandwidth, handles very high continuous and peak currents.

Additional Features
LeCroy offers related products such as differential amplifiers, deskew calibration sources, and active differential probes to enhance measurement capabilities. The PMA2 software provides advanced power measurement analysis, including power switching device measurements and compliance testing.

Customer Support
LeCroy provides a three-year warranty on their oscilloscopes, including free return shipping and software upgrades, ensuring long-term support and reliability.
