Product catalog summary
Introduction
Teledyne Isco's Evaporative Light Scattering Detectors (ELSD) enhance the detection of compounds with minimal or no UV chromophore, such as carbohydrates, steroids, lipids, and terpenes. These detectors provide increased sensitivity for complex separations and can be integrated into existing LC systems for near-universal detection without altering chromatographic methods.

How ELSD Works
The ELSD process involves nebulizing the liquid eluting from the chromatography column using an inert gas stream, forming an aerosol cloud. This cloud is evaporated, leaving dried compound particles that scatter laser light within the detector, generating a signal.

Advantages of Teledyne Isco ELSD
  • Patented technology for precise temperature control to optimize analyte detection.
  • Flexible signal filter options to reduce baseline noise.
  • Long-term reliability with minimal maintenance due to a straight drift tube and long-life laser.
  • Low gas consumption, compatible with various gas supplies.
  • Supported by Teledyne Isco’s sales and service professionals.

Model 340CF Preparative ELSD
This model is designed for preparative chromatography, allowing detection of compounds without chromophores. It features an integral flow split system for steady flow and minimal compound loss. It is flexible, scalable, and modular, suitable for various preparative applications.

Model 330 Analytical ELSD
The Model 330 is ideal for high-sensitivity research, supporting high flow rates and semi-volatile compound analysis. It offers detection limits down to nanogram levels, a dynamic range over three orders of magnitude, and excellent reproducibility.

Preparative and Analytical Evapo Evaporative Light Scattering Detection (ELSD) Teledyne Isco’s Evaporative Light Scattering Detectors improve the detection of compounds with little or no UV chromophore such as carbohydrates, steroids, lipids, and terpenes. Whether you are analyzing or simply purifying your compounds, these powerful detectors add greater detection sensitivity for your most complex separations. The Process Detection Unlike UV detection alone, adding an ELSD to your existing LC system can provide near universal detection without changing your existing chromatographic methods. Evaporation...

orative Light Scattering Detectors Model 340CF Preparative ELSD This detector is a modular component solution for the unique needs of preparative chromatography, allowing you to confidently see compounds without chromophores. An integral flow split system maintains a steady, 0.7 mL per minute flow stream over a wide range of flow rates and solvent compositions. Although ELSD is a destructive technique, only a miniscule amount of compound is lost. When used with UV-vis or All-wavelength detection on Teledyne Isco’s CombiFlash Rf and CombiFlash Torrent systems, the 340CF gives you the most universal...
