Remote Sensors Series

Remote Sensors Series

Product catalog summary
Description
The Remote Photoelectric Systems consist of a transmitter (LT) and receiver (LR) designed to work with Telco photoelectric amplifiers from the PA, MPA, or PAB series. These systems can operate in thru-beam mode with a maximum sensing range of up to 70 meters or in diffuse proximity mode up to 5 meters, depending on the amplifier used. They feature optional sensor monitor LEDs, a variety of housing options, high environmental tolerance, and cable or plug connections. ATEX approval is available as an option.

Technical Data
The LT uses an infrared light source at 880 nm, while the LR uses a silicon NPN photo transistor. The sensor housing materials vary, with polycarbonate front lenses. The cable specifications include a PVC cable with a minimum bending radius of 45 mm. Environmental specifications include vibration resistance (10-55 Hz, 0.5 mm), shock resistance (30 g), and light immunity up to 100,000 lux. The operational temperature range is -25 to +65 °C, with storage temperatures from -40 to +80 °C. The sealing class is IP67.

Available Types
The sensors are available in various housing materials, including polycarbonate, nickel-plated brass, stainless steel, polyester, and ABS. They come in different sizes and connection types, such as M8 and M12 plugs.

Applicable Photoelectric Amplifiers and Maximum Ranges
The document lists various amplifier series (PA, MPA, PAB) and their corresponding maximum sensing ranges for both thru-beam and diffuse proximity modes. For example, the PA 01 series offers a maximum range of 8 meters for thru-beam and 0.6 meters for diffuse proximity.

Connections
Details on cable and plug connections are provided, including pin configurations for transmitter and receiver signals and grounds.

Sensing Characteristics
Graphs illustrate the parallel and angular displacement characteristics for different series, showing normalized range and displacement percentages.

Dimensions and Descriptions
Detailed dimensions for various sensor series are provided, including diagrams and measurements in millimeters.
