Strong, flexible bond Fiber-based gaskets are usually produced in a calendering process, in which tailor-made combinations of fibers, fillers, rubber and other substances are formed into sheets. Thanks to its unique fibrillation, Twaron pulp creates a good mechanical bond with the surrounding filler and rubber matrix and thus stabilizes the gasket mix as well as the processed sheets. By transferring its high strength and elasticity to the matrix, Twaron pulp plays a key role in reinforcement.
