Product catalog summary
Overview
The GM Temperature Switches are designed for heavy-duty temperature safety control in marine, traction, and industrial applications. They are known for their robustness, stability, and resistance to shock and vibration. The switches offer BOR or BOF switch action and can be equipped with an auxiliary pilot switch. They have an IP32 rating, indicating protection against solid objects and limited water ingress.

Physical Description
The switches are constructed with a non-corrosive aluminium diecast body and cover, featuring a green hammer finish. A nickel-plated knob allows for set point adjustments. The thermal types are available with or without flexible stainless steel capillary protection and come with two bulb sizes.

Operation
The thermal system includes a bellows with capillary and phial for remote sensing. Proper immersion of the phial is necessary for optimal thermal operation and rapid response. Temperature settings are adjusted via an adjustment screw, with the scale indicator located on the left side under the scale cover.

Technical Specifications
  • Materials: Aluminium diecast case and cover, copper capillary and sensor, brass bellows and housing.
  • Switch: Single-pole single-throw BOR or BOF, with auxiliary contact rating of 500mA AC or 100mA DC.
  • Conduit Entry: M20 x 1.5 with insulating bush.
  • Weight: Approximately 1.3kg for the temperature model.
  • Sensor Fittings: Various options for plain and armoured capillaries.

Ordering Details
When ordering, provide the model reference or specify the range in °C, switch action (BOR or MOR), capillary length, and bulb fitting. Voltage ratings vary for AC and DC applications.

Models and Specifications
The document lists various models with specific temperature ranges, switch actions, and bulb lengths. These models are supplied with armoured capillary options.

TEDDINGTON APPLIANCE CONTROLS LTD GM TEMPERATURE SWITCHES ? & Stable Robust ? Shock & Vibration Resists ? BOF Switch Action BOR or ? Available with Auxiliary Pilot Switch ? IP32 Rating Application The GM is a heavy – duty temperature safety control for use in marine, traction and industrial applications where high mechanical strength and functional reliability is essential, even after periods of non-action. Physical Description The GM is robustly constructed and reliable range of non-corrosive temperature switches. A nickel-plated knob at the top of the instrument allows for adjustment of the set point. It has an aluminium body and covers, powder painted in a green hammer finish. The thermal system comprises a bellows with capillary and phial for remote sensing. To achieve Thermal types come with or without flexible stainless steel capillary protection and with two sizes of bulb (see chart). A nickel-plated housing at the base of the instrument protects the bellows. correct thermal operation and rapid response the phial must be immersed to its maximum depth. Temperature settings are adjustable by turning the adjustment screw. The scale indicator is found on the instruments left hand side, under the scale cover.
