Application Flame safety devices are a necessary safety requirement for gas burners on most domestic gas appliances including cookers, gas fires, gas boilers etc. Teddington FFD's meet the latest market demand for a non-toxic charge as alternative to mercury filled systems. Flame heat is detected by a small sensor connected by capillary tube to the control valve, which is held open while the burner is alight. Physical Description Models can be provided with particular features to suit The FFD body is constructed of aluminium or aluminium special customer requirements and this includes a version with a manual over-ride to the solenoid function. and brass, depending on type, and is connected to the sensor by a copper or stainless steel capillary. Special clips and phial ferrules are available to support sensors correctly in relation to gas burners. The solenoid has a steel cover with 3 flying leads including earth wire with termination and length to customers' requirements. FFD's are available with inlet and outlet to suit virtually all-standard appliances but preferred connections are illustrated overleaf. Capillary: normal lengths 350mm
