OPERATING PRINCIPLE Steam passes through pilot line until it reaches actuation chamber were it condenses, filling the chamber and pilot line up to siphon, thus outlet pressure (P2) is communicated to diaphragm. Series 820 Direct Acting With the use of the following formulas, and using the Cv value as input, valve capacity for steam can be calculated: CRITICAL FLOW SUBCRITICAL FLOW In these conditions flow is throttled and outlet pressure (P2) does not affect flow.
