fgLADESHELTER © green datacenter solutions The brand behind the Tecnosteel product line developed for low energy consumption datacenters even where there are high thermal loads. The "Green Datacenter" concept has spread through all companies where a growing demand for energy makes cost-effectiveness increasingly necessary. Datacenter air-conditioning requires a quantity of electrical power that can easily exceed 30% of a company's total energy consumption. Solutions are thus adopted both as regards the choice of equipment and the datacentre layout. With its Bladeshelter line, Tecnosteel is...

Bladecooling is a modular refrigerating unit that can be scaled up with high energy efficiency built into T7structure. Bladecooling brings together the two fundamental parameters: low power consumption even where there are extremely high loads. The system dissipates from 4 to 32 kW of thermal load. Cooling is obtained by utilising a water chiller or a direct expansion (DX) gas system coupled with a class A condensing unit.

Cooling Configuration Closed architecture BladeCooling is mounted beside the server rack. Both structures are insulated from the external environment. Air circulates in a loop; heat exchange comes about through water or gas batteries cooled by chillers or external condensers. Open architecture The devices in the racks are cooled by air drawn from the environment. BladeCooling sees to the cooling of the air before sending it into the environment at the pre-set temperature. Cooling Types Gas Cooling An external condenser propels the refrigerant gas into the insulated circuit; the air is...

AISLE CONTAINMENT This is a compartmentalised system that separates the warm air flow from that of the cold thus ensuring maximum conditioning efficiency This is a modular structure that can be scaled up and is applied to two T7 cabinet opposing batteries to which it is possible to adopt the BladeCooling modules. The system is endowed with all the devices needed to guarantee perfect insulation of the aisle interior and maintain the maximum separation of hot and cold air flows. The special vertical profiles that are applied to the cabinet base, together with the aisle cover panels with...

The MultiBrand aisle is a modular containment solution intended to increase the efficiency of the cooling plant in systems having racks of different types and sizes. Suitable for racks of varying heights, widths and depths, enhancing any type of cabinet already present in the datacenter. The scaling-up solution is customised and allows integration between racks and Tecnosteel Bladeshelter cabling devices, guaranteeing thermal containment and a safe and efficient environment for all IT equipment. MultiBrand structure is free-standing and modular and allows for the possibility of installing...

Cold aisle The cold air, being confined within the closed structure, guarantees that the desired temperature is constant at any height in the front of the racks. The warm air, extracted by the server fans, is issued into the external environment, whence it is cooled to return into the aisle. Although the cold corridor configuration is traditionally matched to under-floor airflow conditioning, the BladeCooling solution (here below described) allows a more focused and therefore more efficient in-row cooling. The condition to grant a thermal efficiency and energy saving is the observance of a...

Hot aisle Thermography of a hot aisle Should the datacenter be situated in a non-conditioned room, or with an insufficient conditioning system or lacking insulation, it might well be advisable to choose a layout that confines the warm air issuing from the racks within a compartmentalised aisle in which the air temperature will be much higher than that of the environment. In such case, the ΔT between the warm air in the aisle and the cooled air coming from the BladeCooling cooling system is high enough to guarantee the system’s maximum efficiency. The BladeCooling modules suck the warm air...

Cabling complex structures that allow cables to pass through racks and different aisles has led to the development of the BladeRunner cable-guide cladding. • This protects cable integrity by avoiding fouling and snagging; • Makes it easier for multiple cables to pass and facilitates any replacement and maintenance work; • Keeps compartmentalisation of cabinets and aisl

uututuuuuuumlf ■Uiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiF TPatch is a dedicated rack for datacenter high-density cabling systems - SAN and large local networks in general. This is an open modular structure for optimum cabling management, structured simply and compactly. Cablin evolution Cable management is ever more critical and cable performance has an ever greater impact on the band width of the network. Cabling has always been seen as a passive part of a network, but with the increase in transmission velocity, any deformation of a cable may have serious repercussions on the performance of the network as...

MAKEOVER OF THE RACK TOP RANGE BladeShelter T7, the Bladeshelter cutting-edge cabinet gets a makeover to become the T7plus , an even more functional model that maintains the styling, robustness and capacity of the original model. T7plus principal versions Structural novelties The new hinge in this model allows the rear doors, too, to have a 270° opening. This makes assembly and inversion operations easier, swifter and safer. The front door is endowed with a cable route to connect electronic handles, alarms, sensors and lighting. The opening of the four lateral panels is now independent and...
