GLS & GBS

Product catalog summary
Introduction
TE Instruments introduces the GLS and GBS, advanced gas and LPG sampling systems designed to simplify the analysis of gases and liquefied gases. These systems address the challenges of handling different gases at varying pressures and states.

GLS and GBS Overview
The GLS (Gas & Liquefied gas Sampling module) is tailored for sampling from pressurized gas cylinders, while the GBS (Gas Bag Sampling module) is designed for sampling from gas bags or balloons. Both systems integrate seamlessly with the XPLORER combustion analyzer for measuring Total Nitrogen, Total Sulfur, and Total Chlorine.

GLS Features
  • Handles pressurized gas and LPG samples with two integrated loops (10 mL for gas, 100 µL for liquefied gas).
  • Automatic control and monitoring of parameters like evaporation speed, temperature, flow, and pressure.
  • Equipped with a safety lock to prevent unintended removal of pressurized cylinders.
  • Ultra-low detection capability for liquefied gas samples at 20 ppb Sulfur/Nitrogen.
  • Dimensions: 30.0 x 28.5 x 56.0 cm; Weight: 18 kg.

GBS Features
  • Samples directly from gas bags, eliminating the need for pressure restoration.
  • Can handle up to 10 gas bags simultaneously, enhancing productivity and reducing contamination.
  • Automatic calibration from a single certified reference material (CRM).
  • Dimensions: 37.0 x 28.5 x 56.0 cm; Weight: 15.3 kg.

Safety and Reliability
Both systems are equipped with gas leakage sensors to detect hydrocarbons and prevent potential hazards. The systems automatically halt operations if a dangerous situation is detected.

Calibration and Operation
The GLS and GBS can create calibration lines from a single CRM, freeing up operator time. They offer stand-alone operation with customizable methods and settings via a touchscreen interface.

Conclusion
The GLS and GBS systems provide a robust, safe, and efficient solution for gas and LPG sampling, offering ease of use, automation, and integration with TE Instruments software.

Ultra-low detection The GLS is able to handle liquefied gas samples at the same ultra-low level as liquid samples: 20 ppb Sulfur / Nitrogen. Components in gas can usually not be measured at the same low level as liquid or liquefied gas samples because of the physical laws applicable. However the GLS and GBS are able to handle these kind of samples perfectly, both sampling systems demonstrate a detection limit in the low ppb’s with outstanding repeatability.
