Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides detailed information on various alignment systems offered by Taylor Hobson, focusing on their specifications, applications, and technical support services. The systems are designed for checking and setting straightness, alignment, verticality, parallelism, flatness, squareness, and level.
Alignment Systems: The document describes several alignment systems, including:
  • Digital Alignment Telescope (Code 112-3389): Utilizes high-resolution CCD technology for automatic displacement calculation, suitable for large projects like aircraft jigs.
  • Micro Alignment Telescope (Codes 112-2582 Metric, 112-2583 British): Measures deviations from an optical line of sight using an optical micrometer.
  • Alignment Telescope (Code 112-850): Similar to the Micro Alignment Telescope but without X and Y micrometers, used for inline placement without measurement.
  • Micro Alignment Infra-Red System: A standard Micro Alignment Telescope adapted for infra-red use.
  • Micro Alignment Big Mag System: Offers x4 magnification for long-distance work.
  • Micro Alignment Laser System (Code 112-3331): Ideal for dynamic measurement with a stable transmitter and high precision receiver.
Specifications: The document includes a table comparing the specifications of different telescopes, such as maximum working distance, measuring range, accuracy, resolution, and magnification.
Technical Support: Taylor Hobson provides dedicated technical support through Spectrum Metrology, offering advice, demonstrations, training, and repair services. Spectrum Metrology is the authorized repair agent and provides equipment for hire or sale.
Contact Information: The document lists contact details for Taylor Hobson offices worldwide, including the UK, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, and the USA.

The alignment systems range Digital Alignment Telescope (code 112-3389) Using high resolution CCD technology and dedicated software, the Alignment Telescope can be digitised to automatically calculate the displacement from a set datum to ensure fast set up and repeatable readings as well as digitally outputting the result. This is particularly useful on large alignment projects such as aircraft jigs or large machine tools since a single operator can make measurements and adjustments along the construction or fixture while the target is displayed on the monitor. (see further details on page 10)....

Electro optical metrology Taylor Hobson has been selling electro-optical metrology products since the late 1930s and the range includes Micro Alignment Telescopes (used for checking and setting straightness and alignment) Autocollimators (for accurate measurement of small angular displacements), clinometers and “Talyvel” electronic levels. Used in a range of applications in industries such as machine tools, aerospace, marine and steel rolling, the Taylor Hobson range combines high accuracy and repeatability with fast response and operational convenience. To provide focused technical support to...
