Assembly Instructions for ERO Joint® SK (Self Knot) V-Belt
Specifications:
  • The ERO Joint® SK is a patented self-knotting V-belt assembly method.
Procedure:
  1. Cut the belt significantly longer than needed, approximately 120 mm extra.
  2. Strip each end to expose the traction cord, ensuring the sheath is 10 mm shorter than the required length.
  3. Form the first knot with both ends.
  4. Optionally, apply a small amount of speed glue to secure the knot.
  5. Create a second knot in the opposite direction of the first knot, as illustrated in the sketch.
  6. Trim any excess strands. If welding is necessary, proceed with the following steps.
  7. Insert the knot into a hollow section of the belt.
  8. Utilize the Multi TC and U spare paddle tools to weld the belt.
  9. Deburr the belt using cutting pliers.

Assembly round and V-belt ERO Joint® SK (Self Knot) (patent pending) Cut much longer than the required length (around 120 mm). Then strip each end to recover the traction cord (the sheath must have the required length -10 mm).

Take the both ends. Make a first knot. Eventually add a point of speed glue to seal it. Then make a second knot in the opposite direction of the previous knot (see sketch). Cut the dangle strands (in case the welding of the belt is necessary, continue reading). Push the knot in a hollow of the belt. Use the Multi TC and the U spare paddle to weld the belt.
