Scope of Work: The project involved a turn-key project initiated in 1988 and a reconstruction and upgrading phase from 2007 to 2010.
Project Description: The initial commissioning occurred in 1988. The reconstruction and upgrading included the following key activities: reconstruction of the spherical bearing with a diameter of 1250 mm, replacement of spherical bearings with diameters ranging from 1000 to 500 mm, installation of a new driveable chute-wagon, replacement of spherical bearings with a diameter of 500 mm at the travel systems and bridge-cross-
conveyors, replacement of vertical wheels at the mobile feeder, and an upgrade of the rail cable reel.
Project Figures: The project involved an overburden removal height of 60 meters, a service measure of 13,500 tons, a conveying capacity of 29,000 cubic meters per hour, a height of 74 meters, an outreach/boom length of 191.5 meters, a span width of 272.5 meters, and a total of 14 belts.
Project Schedule: The project was commissioned in 1988 and again in 2010 after the upgrades.
