Metering Conveyor feeds the corn ears onto Infeed wheel Infeed wheel with spring loaded pressure arm gate feeds the corn ears onto the Orienter belt by singulating. Corn ears are conveyed by tilted conveyor belt and rotary rubber drum to the Orienter with angled tension gate. If the ear is already oriented (tip-first) correctly it will drop onto the Cutter feed conveyor as same, if oriented backwards (butt-first) the pinch point of the gate flips the ear around while dropping it onto the Cutter conveyor.
