9.3 µm series

Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides technical specifications for a series of laser models operating at a 9.3µm wavelength, which is beneficial for processing materials like Kapton and PET. The lasers are designed with a robust, all-metal sealed tube for durability and performance.
Specifications:
  • Models and Output Power: The models include 48-1-9.3, 48-2-9.3, v30-9.3, ti60-9.3, ti80-9.3, and ti100-9.3, with output powers ranging from 8W to 100W.
  • Mode Quality and Ellipticity: Mode quality is less than 1.3, and ellipticity is less than 1.2 across all models.
  • Rise Time: Varies from less than 150µs to less than 75µs depending on the model.
  • Beam Characteristics: Beam diameter ranges from 2.2mm to 3.5mm, and beam divergence is less than 7mR full angle.
  • Wavelength: All models operate within the 9.23 - 9.31µm range.
  • Power Stability: Guaranteed stability from a cold start is 7% for most models, except for the 48-1-9.3 model at 15%.
  • Polarization: Linear, with variations between vertical and horizontal depending on the model.
  • Cooling: Options include air or water cooling, with specific flow rates and heat loads detailed for each model.
  • Electrical Requirements: Input voltage ranges from 30VDC to 48VDC, with varying current requirements.
  • Dimensions and Weight: Dimensions vary by cooling method, and weights range from 9 lbs to 28.9 lbs.
Applications: The 9.3µm wavelength is particularly effective for materials that absorb this wavelength well, enhancing processing efficiency.

9.3 µm series-1

Sealed CO2 Lasers - 9.3 |im wavelength Certain applications may experience improved efficiency at wave- lengths other than the standard 10.6|jm wavelength. For these, Synrad offers the 48-1, 48-2, firestar vi30, firestar v30, and firestar ti series lasers in 9.3|jm wavelength models. The 9.3|jm series is useful for processing materials that are highly absorptive of this wavelength, such as Kapton, PET, and others. Like all Synrad lasers, the 9.3um series is based on our rugged, all-metal sealed tube design to ensure long operating lifetimes and optimum performance.
